It’s fair to say we will all remember 2020, a year of change for businesses, our personal lives and society as a whole. The impact of the pandemic touched us and our clients in many ways: social distancing, face coverings and even the term ‘online delivery’ became every day speak and a new event spec for us. Despite being in the business of bringing people together, we too have adapted to the ‘online delivery’ of conferences and events. It is fitting that our parent company, Inmarsat, is the global leader in satellite communication and connectivity. A testament that 99 City Road is a bastion for best practice in communications, be that face-to-face or online.
The news of a vaccine buoyed everyone; however, we are aware that bringing large groups together again is a big piece in the post-Covid jigsaw. There will be tweaks and amendments to how we can get together and therefore we have decided to re-open for events in early 2021 and we’ll let you know once the exact date is confirmed. This means we have plenty of time to be ready with the new protocols required to operate safe meetings and get togethers. We already have the backing of The Meetings Industry Association’s AIM Secure standard and the We’re Good to Go industry standard. These are important benchmarks for us and will give clients peace of mind that we are a Covid-confident choice for gathering people together.
We’re sorry we can’t share any celebratory bubbles with you this year, however, we hope you and your seasonal family or friends bubble brings great cheer and we look forward to drawing a line under 2020 and to bringing to life the many lessons and learnings that the year has taught us.
