Are you planning an event in the coming months? There are a huge range of event planning apps on the market to guide you through each stage of your event from concept through to follow-up. Here are some suggestions for efficient event planning.

Monday.com

A team favourite is the customisable, simple and visual Monday.com. This app has the necessary features to facilitate all project management elements of your next event. Monday.com is known for being intuitive and user-friendly for project and task progress monitoring. It enables team members to plan milestones and embed due dates on a visual timeline letting organisers see who is working on what and when. Monday.com also lets users record estimated expenses, providing the option to compare the projections to actual costs to keep expenditure under control.

Yapp

Yapp is an app used to collate and present key information that attendees might need, such as location specifics, key speakers and the running order of an event. If an event organiser who was holding an event at 99 City Road Conference Centre used this app, they could include directions from the Old Street Tube and Rail station and list hotels in the Shoreditch area. So as to keep everyone on the same page, Yapp makes essential instructions accessible along with attached documents. It is inexpensive and can be branded accordingly, saving you money on print costs. Yapp’s main aim is to build an engaged community and to empower your event attendees to network and collaborate.

Q-Flow

Q-Flow is a real-time attendance app used to accurately oversee the registration of your event. We use this app and can equip you with up to four iPads and a member of our experienced event management team to assist you with the administration of Q-Flow. You can also download post-event reports to assess attendee numbers and communicate with delegates.

Olio

At 99 City Road we use a sharing app called Olio, which makes us a zero-food waste business. Olio promotes the sharing of surplus food and connects individuals and businesses. Over two million portions of food have been shared and saved from waste, thanks to Olio. We’re proudly part of the movement.

What apps do you find most useful when planning large-scale events?
