How Accessible is 99 City Road?

At 99 City Road Conference Centre we have a number of features that make the venue as accessible as possible for all visitors. When selecting a conference or event venue many event organisers place accessibility at the top of their lists in order to accommodate all delegates.

We are committed to providing a great experience for all visitors to the conference centre and have a number of facilities to help ensure all guests can access the venue with ease. We offer ramp access to all of our venue entrances. In our newly refurbished event reception area, our purpose-built registration desk is lowered to make it accessible for all visitors. A bank of lifts is available to take delegates to the conference centre which is located on the first floor of the Inmarsat HQ. All of our conference, meeting and event spaces are located on the same floor.

Our doors are wider than the standard DDA guidelines and double doors are in place on many of our conference and meeting rooms. If your event requires desks for breakout sessions or a boardroom-style set up then we ensure that the height of the tables and the space between them are the right height and width for wheelchair users.

In our largest conference room, the Constellation Suite, which has a capacity of 300, we have a hearing loop system available which greatly improves the quality of sound and reduces background noise for those who are hearing impaired.

While improvement work is currently being undertaken at Old Street tube station, our closest transport link, there is a good provision for disabled parking in the nearby vicinity. If you are the holder of a blue badge then you can park on Cowper Street on yellow lines where there are no loading restrictions for up to three hours, in resident basy and pay and display bays for an unlimited time and in designated blue badge bays for an unlimited period of time.

As a central London conference venue, we are well placed to work with clients to accommodate the specific needs of any individual. Our event coordinators regularly work with clients to ensure the delegate experience is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
