It’s been an exciting couple of weeks at 99 City Road Conference Centre. We were thrilled to learn that we’ve been shortlisted in not one but two categories in the Conference Awards. We are finalists in the Best Conference Venue (under 650 delegates) and Best Conference Venue Customer Service categories.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and in providing the best possible experience for our clients and visitors to 99 City Roadand so we were really pleased to be recognised in these categories. We have made significant improvements to the venue in the last couple of years in terms of upgraded lighting and AV equipment and we’ve launched a new website to improve the customer journey. We’ve had one of our busiest years on record and being shortlisted for an award is the cherry on the cake.
The ceremony takes place in July and we’re looking forward to celebrating the best of the best in the conference and event industry with our team and our peers.
Last week also saw our assistant manager, Charlotte Kain, rub shoulders with the best young talent in the events industry. Charlotte was recently named as a winner of The Meetings Show Tomorrow’s Talentaward alongside only ten others in the UK under the age of 30.
Charlotte was chosen because of her tenacity in implementing socially-conscious initiatives like the partnership with food-sharing platform Olio. She was also praised for her ambition and how she has developed new systems and processes that have benefitted the business.
As part of her prize package, Charlotte was invited to a celebratory lunch with the other award winners and judges. The judging panel was made up of senior representatives from The Meetings Show, M&IT magazine, HBAA and Visit Britain. She will also attend The Meetings Show as a VIP guest.
