What is your maximum conference capacity?
Our main conference room, Constellation, can seat 300 theatre style.
What is the link with Inmarsat?
99 City Road Conference Centre – formerly Inmarsat Conference Centre – is situated within Inmarsat’s global headquarters at 99 City Road. We are owned and operated by Inmarsat – the world leader in global, mobile satellite communications.
Is your conference audio-visual equipment and your audio-visual technicians free of charge?
Yes, absolutely. Our state-of-the-art conference audio-visual and lighting equipment, plus audio-visual technicians to operate it, are totally free.
However, if you have any additional audio-visual, lighting or sound needs, you can speak to our recommended AV supplier, Stage Engage.
Do your breakout rooms have audio-visual equipment?
Yes. They are set up by our in-house audio-visual technicians and use of our audio-visual equipment is included in our Day Delegate Rate.
Could I run a live video or audio link?
Yes. In and out-bound live link and conferencing equipment is all free of charge.
Do you have stage and mood lighting?
Yes. We have stage lighting and mood lighting in our main conference room, Constellation, plus mood lighting in our central lounge area.
Do you have a stage, lectern and top table?
Yes, we have it all. We also have comfortable lounge chairs should you wish to stage an informal Q&A or stage discussion.
However, if you have something special in mind you can speak to our recommended staging supplier, Stage Engage.
I will need to hire some additional IT equipment for our conference. Can you provide this?
You can hire a range of IT and display equipment, from computer work stations and laptops to LCD walls, iPads and even VR headsets from our recommended IT hire supplier, ITR Hire.
Do you have in-house caterers?
Yes. Our in-house caterers are the award-winning Elior. You can find set menus on our Catering page here [internal link] or call us if you would like us to create something bespoke. Our Executive Chef loves a challenge!
Do you have set menus I can view?
Yes, We have a range of menus including prices that you can view and download on our Catering page.
Do you cater to delegates’ special dietaries requirements?
Yes. We can cater to wide range of dietary requirements. Your events coordinator will be happy to discuss your requirements.
Do you provide waiting and serving staff?
Yes. Our in-house catering team will provide all of the staffing to meet your catering needs.
Is it possible to organise a food tasting?
Yes. Once your booking has been confirmed and contracted, we are happy to arrange food tastings for all events over 100 people.
Do you have space for exhibitors at our conference?
Yes. We regularly host up to twenty 3 x 2m exhibition spaces in our extended lounge area. We can provide you with sample layouts and work with you to create the perfect set up. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Do you provide basic equipment for exhibitors?
Yes. Included in your price we include:
- 1 x 1.8 metre clothed table
- Power sockets
- 2 x chairs
- Free high-speed Wi-Fi
Do you have an in-house registration system?
Yes. We use an online registration system called Q Flow.
Can you help with registration?
Yes. A member of our event management team will be available to assist at registration.
Do you have iPad to help with the registration process?
Yes, we can provide up to four iPads.
Where exactly are you?
We are located in the global HQ of Inmarsat on the south east side of Old Street roundabout next to Old Street tube and rail stations.
I’m driving or travelling by taxi, what postcode should I give use?
Although our postcode is EC1Y 1AX, this will take you to Old Street roundabout, but you cannot stop on the roundabout. Our taxi drop-off and collection point is at our side entrance in Cowper Street. Use the postcode EC2A 4AW and proceed to the end of Cowper Street. Our entrance will be to your right.
What is your closest London Underground station?
Old Street London Underground station, on the Northern Line, is right next door, 1 minute’s walk away. From the ticket office, follow the signs for Exit 2. Our front entrance is at the top of the covered ramp walkway.
What is your closest railway station?
Old Street train station, on the Northern City Line, is right next door, 1 minute’s walk away. From the ticket office, follow the signs for Exit 2. Our front entrance is at the top of the covered ramp walkway.

What is your closest airport?
We are 35 minutes from London City Airport via taxi and 32 minutes via Docklands Light Railway and the Northern Line (change at Bank).
Is there parking at 99 City Road
There isn’t any parking at 99 City Road. However, there are two secure car parks close by:
Union Car Parks on Clere Street, EC2A 4UY. 5 minute walk
NCP at Finsbury Square, EC2A 1AD. 7 minute walk
Both of these car parks fall within the Congestion Charge zone.
Is 99 City Road in the Congestion Charge zone?
I need to deliver equipment and materials to 99 City Road. Do you have a Goods In entrance?
Yes. Our Goods In entrance is located on Cowper Street, which has a different post code to the main entrance – use EC2A 4AP for Goods In deliveries.
What are your delivery and collection times for equipment and materials?
Deliveries and collections can be made to and from our Goods In entrance on Cowper Street. Its opening times are 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Is 99 City Road in the new Ultra-Low Emissions zone?
Since September 2018 certain streets on the fringes of the City of London have been designated as Ultra-Low Emission Streets. Only Ultra Low Emission vehicles can access these streets between the hours of 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm Monday to Friday.
Our taxi point and Goods In entrance is on Cowper Street which IS an Ultra-Low Emission Street and thus the above restrictions apply. At all other times normal vehicles can be used.
Ultra-Low Emission vehicles (ULEVs) include vehicles that emit less than 75g/km C02. This includes all pure electric and hydrogen vehicles and some of the ‘cleanest’, least polluting, hybrid vehicles.
A wide range of taxi and courier companies in London now operate ULEVs.
