We’re delighted to announce that we recently raised £355 for ‘Heads Together’ working with our in-house caterers, Elior UK, who have announced the mental health campaign as their chosen charity of the year.

Elior UK have been our in-house caterers here at 99 City Road Conference Centre for over 15 years and over that time we have built up a close working relationship with them as they strive to provide the best conference and event venue catering for all our clients – often thinking outside the box with event-specific customised menus.

So, when they asked us to support them in raising funds for Heads Together, the mental health campaign of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, we jumped at the chance of doing our bit!

For those of you who don’t know, we’re situated within the headquarters of Inmarsat on Old Street Roundabout. Every month we work with The Book People to hold a book sale for all staff and so far have raised £355 which will be our first donation for Heads Together. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported us.

Heads Together was launched by The Royal Foundation in May 2016. The major mental health initiative is a partnership of eight mental health charities: CALM, Mind, Contact, Place2Be, The Mix, YoungMinds, Best Beginnings, and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. Each charity focuses on a different age range or audience group.

With one in four adults in the UK experiencing a mental health problem every year, it’s an issue which affects us all – whether directly or indirectly. By working with Elior to support Heads Together we hope we can play our part in tackling the stigma and helping to support more services for mental health for all ages across the UK.

This is just the first of many events we are planning with Elior UK to support Heads Together throughout the next year so we look forward to raising lots more money for this wonderful cause!
