Well, it’s back to normal here at 99 City Road after a busy week last week at The Meetings Show!

After such a successful show last year, we decided to take a stand again this year to showcase our venue and meet clients – old and new – and it didn’t disappoint!

The three-day event at Olympia saw hundreds of exhibitors from around the globe fill the venue with some amazing stands. We made great friends with our stand neighbours IET Venues and the QEII Centre who popped over for a go on our virtual reality headset courtesy of ITR Hire – the rollercoaster ride consistently won the vote with visitors to our stand, and we agree!

We also had a prize draw on our stand for dinner for two at Red Rooster in Shoreditch and are delighted to say it was won by the lovely Jeffrey Peel from Quadriga Consulting. Congratulations Jeffrey and thanks for stopping by our stand!

Our latest addition to the 99 City Road team, Italian native Lory, proved a great hit with the Italian visitors who enjoyed being able to chat about all things events and conferences in their mother tongue. We caught up with many familiar faces over the three days including Banks Sadler, HelmsBriscoe, Inntel and Ellis Salsby. We also made lots of new contacts who we hope to be doing business with very soon. We’re always on the lookout for new suppliers and one who caught our eye was the London Cocktail Company. Their pre-mixed Margarita, Mojito, Mai Tai and Strawberry Daiquiri cocktails are divine – although we only had a sip, honestly!

Cocktails aside, we had a blast at The Meetings Show. It’s great to catch up with everyone – friends old and new – and see all the great work and innovation that’s going on in the industry. We want to thank everyone who took the time to stop by our stand!
