EXCITING TIMES WITHIN OUR CATERING TEAM
We are delighted to see our Front of House Supervisor, Sylwia Szpyra, recognised for her outstanding enthusiasm and dedication to her role within our catering team, at our in-house caterer, Elior UK’s annual awards, which rewards their very best personnel.
Sylwia, who has been a valued member of the 99 City Road team for over three years, was singled out by the judges for being an ‘inspiration and a wonderful example to Service Champions across the business,’ with footballing legend, Gary Lineker presenting her with her prize at a glittering ceremony.
Sylwia’s line manager Clif Francis says: “I am delighted to see Sylwia recognised at the Elior UK Awards Day for her passion for providing the best quality service.
“One of the attributes we particularly value in Sylwia is the way she nurtures and guides her team. It is noticeable how much they have benefitted from her experience and from her sensitive and encouraging style. She is a very deserving winner and we are proud to have her in the Elior UK team that serves 99 City Road so well.”
Courtesy of the awards, Sylwia will join the other category winners on a sight-seeing trip to Vietnam in the summer.
Another exciting personnel development sees a new addition to the catering team at 99 City Road, with Adam Davenport bringing his inventive flair to the kitchen as Head Chef.
Adam’s culinary talents have been put to work in kitchens across the UK, from country house hotels and Italian eateries, to the caterers for the Bank of England and multinational law firm, Baker McKenzie, where he prepared delicious food for up to 700 each day.
Adam says: “I am very pleased to have joined the award-winning team here at 99 City Road.
“I have always been passionate about creating memorable menus and ensuring clients enjoy a great experience, from the moment they order their food to the very last forkful. And I feel my dedication to quality catering is a perfect fit for the very diligent and inventive 99 City Road team.”
